I drew this as part of a suggested ad campaign for local boxer China, whose mascot is the dragon. It was required to still look like him facially. This is essentially just a preliminary sketch for a character design that would likely have changed substantially, and would have involved a lot more effort put into his face (at the time, I was working from a couple of vague photos and only a passing resemblence was needed anyway for such an early concept). I really like the armored scales on his arms and legs. The ad campaign was not picked up, but it was a fun experience anyway.
