The Manticore

The Manticore, circa 2002

A drawing I created as a tattoo design for my friend James. It's not a traditional manticore (human head, body of a lion, tail of a scorpion or dragon), but more of a wicked scorpion-centaur thing. I've been after James for a while to supply a photo of the finished tattoo etched on his chest, but no such luck even though he's had it for years now.

You know you lead an interesting life when one of your greatest memories involves your best friend bleeding a lot.
